Transport Links and Living around Colindale Station

Colindale is a suburban development set in the London Borough of Barnet. The region was originally a significant industrial hub in early 1900s due to its cheap land prices and good connectivity through the railways. However, when the underground trains or tube reached Colindale in 1924, the area started to develop as a suburb.

If you are looking for an area with lots of greenery and peaceful surroundings, then Colindale is the perfect place for you. Colindale is now mostly a residential area which features several semi-detached houses with lovely front gardens, typically belonging to the 1930s style of architecture. So for those who like to live in a house with a period feel to it, then the properties in Colindale would be perfect.

There is a lovely variety of flats to rent in Colindale and there are lots of local amenities that are available to residents. Many of North London’s largest institutions are within close proximity such as the RAF Museum, the British Library’s Newspaper Reading Room, the Grahame Park Estate built on the old Hendon aerodrome and the Hendon Police College which also located nearby.

The area is also very well served by an excellent underground transport system. The Northern line offers regular trains that can be taken from Colindale station to any destination within the city because it is interlinked with so many other underground lines. If you prefer the overground rail network, then Hendon station is only a few minutes away. There are also excellent bus services running during the day and night from Colindale.

For entertainment, Colindale is a very well equipped area because it has several pubs, bars and restaurants in the area. Overall, Colindale is a nice area  for anyone to rent an apartment and live within.
