Lying in the shadow of the famed Tower Bridge, Wapping was the original London "Docklands" for it was here, in the 18th Century, that the idea of a secure area for unloading ships started to develop. A proud past has now become a bright future with the riverside quaysides housing sleek new apartments to let with attractive amenities and great views of the Thames skyline. Renting in Wapping places corporate tenants at a spot equidistant between the City and Canary Wharf, both easily accessed via Shadwell Station and it's interconnecting Overground and DLR rail networks. Wapping Station is positioned just one stop along on the London Overground and is extremely handy for its links to Clapham, Chelsea and Hampstead. These Zone 2 districts can now all be reached without slogging through busy Central London.

Wapping itself has a uniquely offbeat charm. The pubs are small and ancient, but the interiors of the converted warehouses are spacious and well-lit. A cobbled high street follows an ancient maritime route along the Thames, yet is full of trendy eateries, bars and creative spaces. This same route connects several exciting new developments among which are Capital Wharf, New Crane Wharf and Wapping Wall but behind these river facing apartments, the real jewel in the E1W redevelopment crown is taking shape. London Dock is to be built on the old HQ of the News International media conglomerate and is set to revolutionise the area completely. This former print works will give way to sixty-five thousand sq ft of dynamic architecture and high-rise luxury, all set to put Wapping firmly on the London lettings map.
